Step-by-step support · Troubleshooting

Investigate an offline camera or a recording gap

Find the failing boundary and verify real output after recovery.

Check the site safely

Confirm power and local connectivity. If using a gateway, test its local preview and outbound connection. Do not factory-reset or delete camera configuration as the first troubleshooting action.

Review the account state

Check that the camera is enabled, recording is requested where intended, entitlement remains valid and storage is available. Read the latest connection observation. Keep desired state and confirmed recorded output distinct.

Allow recovery to reconcile

Restore the failing dependency and observe the camera. Workers retry eligible work, but cannot recreate missing source frames. Avoid repeatedly issuing new finite captures; their original absolute deadline is not extended by an outage.

Verify the actual interval

Wait for a new confirmed segment, play it and inspect the gap on the timeline. Check opted-in email/push separately. Save the safe error text and time for support if output does not return.

What success looks like

New footage plays and the missing interval is understood rather than hidden by a green status.

If it does not work

Gateway 0.2 can keep local clips during an internet outage if you enabled local recording beforehand and the device remains running. Retrieve those clips from the local library; they do not backfill the cloud timeline. Camera, power, disk and clip-boundary interruptions can still leave gaps.

Still stuck?

Contact CamBackup support with safe error text, time/timezone and the steps tried. Never send passwords, tokens, OTPs, recovery codes or credential-bearing camera addresses.
